Job Title:Programme Officer Vaccine Preventable Diseases in the Surveillance Unit
Functions:
As programme Officer for Vaccine-Preventable Diseases you are expected to:
- Assist and support the VPD Head of Section in coordinating the activities in the section;
- Ensure the smooth running and administration of the systems that underpin the VPD work in the section (the shared files, administrative meetings, etc.);
- Contribute to planning and implementing a sustainable surveillance system for vaccine-preventable diseases at the European level, taking the existing structures into account;
- Contribute to activities to integrate national laboratory capacity for vaccine-preventable diseases into EU-wide surveillance, taking the existing structures into account;
- Contribute to the planning and implementation of systems for analysis and dissemination of surveillance data on vaccine-preventable diseases and other relevant information from the Centre (electronic and paper formats);
- Establish close working contacts with the other operational units within the Centre;
- Develop close working relations with the appropriate units of the Commission, other EU institutions, WHO as well as relevant national and international organizations, networks and experts on projects related to the Unit mandate and the Centre.
