| WEB FORUM |
How is the web forum different from the old mailing list? This web forum allows people to engage in discussion directly with each other. They can participate in the TechNet21 discussion through the website in addition to, or as an alternative to, using email.
Additionally, people who are not subscribers can read the content. which will encourage more people to join the Technet community.
Also, discussions are grouped into different subject categories and all online content is presented in a threaded view, which allows a reader to follow an entire conversation.
|
Will I continue to get TechNet21 posts in my email? The content that you previously received as individual posts will be sent as a weekly digest to your email address. Since discussions can result in dozens of threads per day, you will not be getting “discussion group” conversation by email but rather a digest summarizing the postings, unless you specifically change your settings to “Discussion Group by email”. If after switching you find you are receiving too many emails, you can always revert to "web access only" using the settings page.
|
If I want to post a query/discussion item, how should I do this? You can use one of the following three options: You can
1. Post on the web forum after logging in.
2. Send an email to the TechNet21 e-forum
3. Email the moderator with the content that you want posted on your behalf.
Please note that you can send your messages by email even if you are signed up for “web access only”.
