Two women from a vaccination team speak with a resident during the NID against polio, in Gadap Town in the southern city of Karachi in Sindh Province. Gadap, a squatter settlement, is home to some 150,000 people who are primarily ethnic Pashtun displaced from the north-west, but also includes hundreds of Afghan refugees. On 29 July 2009 in Pakistan, vaccination teams carried out a National Immunization Day (NID) against polio.
